Ginnastica Correttiva

Corrective gymnastics is that discipline that studies exercise according to its effectiveness in correcting paramorphisms. Paramorphism is defined as a set of alterations in body shape and attitude without defects in bone structure, quite different from dysmorphism, which is distinguished by the presence of a change in bone structure.

During the growth stages of a child there is a time when the increase in height is predominant. At this stage it is as if the muscular structure cannot “keep up” with the bony structure. Thus, here are relaxed postures, asthenic curved back, scoliotic posture, winged shoulder blades, etc.

Improving muscle tone, enhancing joint range of joints, improving one’s body scheme and thus voluntary control of the body through a series of appropriate exercises can all contribute to the effortless and unembarrassed maintenance of correct posture.

All of this can be achieved with corrective gymnastics, and even in cases of mild dysmorphism or in the most severe cases, in which, that is, it is necessary to resort to a back brace, gymnastics asserts itself as an indispensable support for valid correction of spinal deviation.
