AFA means non-health exercise programs, carried out in groups, specifically designed for citizens with chronic diseases, aimed at lifestyle modification for secondary and tertiary prevention of disability.

Indeed, it has been shown that in many chronic diseases the disabling process is aggravated by sedentariness, which causes new impairments, functional limitations and further disability. There is a sufficient amount of data in the scientific literature demonstrating that in many chronic diseases this vicious cycle can be corrected with appropriate programs of regular and continued physical activity over time.
